A Shucking Good Time with SPACE!

October 17th 2024 - September 21st 2024 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

It's almost that time of year again - oyster season!  Who else is ready for A Shucking Good Time at a good old-fashioned oyster roast?! Join SPACE and Cribbs Catering for a memorable evening at the beautiful Glendale Shoals Preserve for all the roasted oysters you can eat prepared by none other than Chef William Cribb himself! Cribbs Catering will be bringing the oysters, peel-and-eat shrimp, and chicken stew. Our friend, Bear Tyler, will be bringing his famous Bullhded Peanut Co. truck with his famous salty dawgs and fixins! Rockers is bringing the beer and the.drink.machine will be slinging delightful custom cocktails and mocktails all evening long! Make sure to come hungry and have fun! (Ages 21+ only. Please drink responsibly.)

We'll also have groovy tunes by the tremendously talented Howl in the Valley, and don't forget to check out the cool stuff we have in store at the silent auction featuring nature-inspired art by local artists and raffle baskets featuring Spartanburg area businesses!  #SupportLocal

Help us Keep Spartanburg Wild and come have A Shucking Good Time!

HUGE SHOUT OUT to our generous sponsors - local companies and individuals who care about and prioritize sustainable growth and local conservation. We couldn't do what we do without you! Help us thank them by showing them some love and support!

Sustainable Events Initiative

Sustainable Events Initiative

SPACE hosts a multitude of events throughout the year. As an organization focused on land conservation and environmental protection, we’ve launched an initiative to focus on sustainability efforts during our fundraisers and small events. With help from local composting company, SMART Recycling, we’re making composting a priority at our events. Thanks to local artists Frankie Zombie and Maggie MacDonald, you won’t miss the compost cans at these events! Want to help make our events more sustainable? Share a ride and bring your own non-glass tumblers with you. Working together we can make an impact!
